Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS [Image Stabilizer] USM Lens + Hoya 72mm UV Haze Protector Glass Filter + CapKeeper Lens Cap Strap + 6-Piece Cleaning Kit - for Canon EOS Digital & Film SLR Cameras including Canon Digital Rebel XT, XTi, EOS 20D, 30D & 40D

Kit includes: 1) Canon EF 28-135mm IS USM Lens; 2) 6-Piece Cleaning Kit; 3) CapKeeper 2; 4) Hoya 72mm UV Haze Protector Glass Filter. Canon 28-135mm includes: Front & Rear Lens Caps; Instructions; Canon USA Warranty. The Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Autofocus Lens is a standard zoom lens designed for superior optical performance with the added benefit of Canon's patented Image Stabilizer technology. With the Image Stabilizer activated, you can obtain sharp, natural-looking pictures even in dim lighting without using flash or a tripod. This is especially handy for places where flash is prohibited such as museums, churches, concerts, and stage events. In addition to its impressive zoom range, the Canon EF 28-135mm uses Canon's proprietary USM technology for swift and silent autofocus. The 6-Piece Cleaning Kit includes: a deluxe air blower; lens cleaning liquid; soft exterior cleaning cloth; blower brush; cotton swabs; and a booklet of lens cleaning tissues. The CapKeeper 2 prevents lens cap loss with an adhesive-backed disc which conveniently attaches to the cap thereby securing it to an elastic band which easily attaches to your lens. The Hoya UV Haze Protector Filter is made of highest quality optical glass so that it can be left on your lens at all times even when you're taking pictures. A filter physically protects your lens in three ways: 1) it prevents any environmental damage to the delicate outer coatings of the lens; 2) it shields the front element of your lens from accidental scuffs and scratches; and 3) in the event of impact, it absorbs most of the force which helps minimize any damage to the filter threads of your lens. Optically, a UV Haze filter enhances image quality by reducing the adverse effects of ultraviolet light which can cause your outdoor photographs to appear hazy and indistinct. This lens-plus-necessities kit is the convenient and economical way to buy this lens.
Customer Review: lens review
Great lens for a walk about lens. I have had it about one month. The only problem I see so far with it which was said in other reviews was the weight of the lens. Indoor pictures were very clear for reduced light. Outdoor pictures are great. The lens cleaning kit was a plus, not your usually cheap cleaning kit you get with some lens. The UV filter is a great addition to the kit keeps the lens surface from getting scratched.
Customer Review: Canon EF 28-135 IS USM
I bought this product last Aug. 2008 and I am very satisfied and happy with this lens. It has a very silent operation and it gives me a crisp pictures for indoor but some times I'm quite disappointed for my outdoor pictures. I don't know maybe it is me or the lens. But in general I would recommend it. Now, I am palnning to purchased some tele-zoom lens and some protrait lenses but as of this writting, I am not yet decided which one. for sure it will be Canon product.

Tokina 16mm - 50mm F/2.8 Pro DX Autofocus Zoom Lens for Canon EOS Digital SLR Cameras

Tokina AT-X 165 PRO DX 16-50mm f/2.8 zoom lens exclusively for Digital SLR cameras with APS-C sensors.* The new Tokina AT-X 165 PRO DX makes an excellent standard lens giving the digital photographer the equivalent of a 24-75mm lens in terms of film. From the nature enthusiast to the portrait artist to photojournalist, everyone will be able to appreciate the AT-X 165's bright F/2.8 constant aperture. This wide aperture allows for faster shutter speeds in low-light conditions or a more shallow depth of field for more pleasing portraits. The out of focus background from a wide aperture setting concentrates attention on the subject giving the photo more strength and intimacy. Tokina's exclusive One-touch Focus Clutch Mechanism allows the photographer to switch between AF and MF simply by snapping the focus ring forward for AF and back toward the camera to focus manually. There is no second AF/MF switch on the lens for Canon, everything is accomplished by the focus ring. The front element of the AT-X 165 PRO DX has a newly formulated WP or "Water Proof" optical coating on the glass. This new coating makes marks such as spots left by water or finger-prints much easier to clean than standard multi-coating.** The rear optical group of the lens contains 1 SD (Super-Low Dispersion) glass element to reduce the number of elements (pieces of glass) in the optical design in order to make the lens more compact, light-weight and faster focusing. * The
Customer Review: Fast Lens for Most Situations
I sold my Canon 17-40 f/4 and Sigma 24-70 f/2.8 and got this lens. It's definitely better than the Sigma and is almost up there with the Canon when it comes to colors and sharpness. I got sick of carrying 2 lenses for different occasions. It's a bit wider than the usual "normal zooms" and is 2.8 all the way which is quite nice. Everyone keeps saying that the CA is large, I don't much care about that. You can correct CA. CA is only perceptible on sunny days when you would stop to f/5.6-f/11 anyways and the CA is small there. It's nice and heavy and I love how it feels. Plus it has a 77mm filter thread (unlike Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 which has the less common 67mm). Overall - I am very happy with it.

Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon Digital SLR Cameras

Incorporating Canon's Optical Image Stabilizer technology, this Canon 55-250mm telephoto zoom lens captures long distance, low-light shots far better than many comparable lenses, helping you photograph the far-off action of athletes or zoom in for an intimate portrait with a blurred background. The high-zoom-ratio lens is equivalent to a focal length of 88-400mm in the 35mm format (when used on Canon EOS cameras compatible with EF-S lenses). More significantly, the image stabilizer effect creates an equivalent shutter speed of roughly four stops faster than the same size lens without an image stabilizer. In other words, if the slowest shutter speed you can hold a 250mm lens steadily is normally 1/250th of a second, this Canon lens will let you hand-hold shutter speeds as slow as 1/15th of a second. The lens also boasts a UD-glass lens element to correct chromatic aberration to create excellent image quality throughout the zoom range. Delivering an excellent performance at an affordable price for all photographers, the 55-250mm lens carries a one-year warranty.

Specifications

Customer Review: My first l`
I mounted the 55-250mm ES Canon lens on my rebel XSI and put it to its first challenge. Basketball tournament in a poorly lit gym. The stabilized lens gave me another f-stop and I was able to achieve good exposure at 160/sec. pushing the camera asa to 1600. Even my short 18-55 kit lens required more light under the same conditions. This lens has nice reach and can get you in on all the sports action from the side line. I love this lens for the money and it came right away hassle free from Amazon.com. I recommend this lens for a nice addition to your camera bag, well worth the money. It feels a little cheap but it is light weight.
Customer Review: Great telephoto lens to complement your kit lens
This is the first lens that I've purchased and kept outside my kit lens (18-55). I mentioned kept because believe it or not, I bought the 70-200 F4L non-IS. I won't be giving any technical review about this lens as that is pretty much covered by the other reviewers here. I'll just share my story to help out other beginners who are having a hard time as well contemplating on what lens to get to complement their kit lens. At first, I definitely wanted to buy a telephoto lens so I can shoot objects from a distance and I really like to try the lens out in a zoo. I then narrowed my choices between EF 70-300 IS USM and 70-200 F4L non-IS (didn't want 55-250 then because I didn't like the plastic mount). Since the latter would end up costing almost the same or even less (comes with hood and pouch plus the free filter amazon offers), I went for it without even thinking. Before the package arrived, I already had second thoughts and tried to cancel the item. Since I tried out the amazon prime 2 day shipping, the package came really fast so I wasn't able to cancel but returned it as soon as I got it. So why did I return the 70-200 F4L and settled for an EF-S 55-250? - I don't get paid taking pictures, it's just a hobby. - No one will really sit down and scrutinize the pictures I take. All Canon lenses take great shots compared to other brands. It's not like I'm posting the pictures I take in the net for public view. - The beige color of the L lens is somewhat too loud for me. I don't want people to think I have that much cash or evern comment that I only have an XS body. - No IS, I realized that I really need IS because I don't have any plans of getting a tripod soon and my hands are really shaky. - Cost! - Weight. - Performance of 55-250 that I was able to research over the net. Of course it's nothing comapred to the L lens, no doubt about that. But if the pictures are viewed alone, without comparing to L lens, they are great. - Max range is only at 200, I get an extra 50mm with 55-250. - Missing the 56-69 mm. Ok, the last 2 are just for my piece of mind because I opted with 55-250 but they don't really matter if you have the L lens. If you do become a pro in the future, you'd definitely get something better than the 70-200 F4L. Bottom line, this lens is no where in the league of L lenses. As one of the reviewers mentioned, it does the job. For value of money, I really love this lens. About the plastic mount, I realized that I wouldn't be using my camera that hard anyway. Plus, it'll be lighter. I'm going to steal one of the reviews I read, it basically says that if you like the performance of your kit lens (18-55), you'll defintely like this as well. I totally agree, fast AF, sharp pictures, longer range version of 18-55. Note that this is NOT a comparison between L lens and 55-250, or even 70-300. Just a decision experience that I wanted to share with a number of beginners out there.

Customer Review: Simply beautiful
I started out in 2005 with a 20D, at about the same time the 1ds MK II was released. Because this was a hobby of mine at the time, the 1ds mk II was way out of reach, both in terms of price, and due to the demand for good glass to go with it. I am used to the 20D's AA filter, for me it is a normal part of the work flow to apply default sharpening at the end of the job in PS. For the dissapointed Kodak guy, I have to ask and point out two things; - What glass did you use? The 1ds MK II (and the MK III even more so) demand expensive, excellent glass. The large sensor and the resolution will put even the most expensive lenses to the test. - Did you apply default sharpening after post processing? Canon state that a unsharp mask / smart sharpen of about 300% 0.3px (tweak when needed) is necessary to combat the AA filter. If you do that, detail will jump out at you and make your jaw drop, seriously. For me the 1ds MK II experience has been a real treat. I bought mine summer 2007, well aware that the MK III was due to be announced. For me, the small percentages in resolution didn't matter (though the MKIII, as a total package, is a step up from the MK II). The MK II creates wonderful photos. I have used mine for landscape, macro, studio, product and animals so far and I love every pixel i get. Prints looks great, my 70-200 f 2.8 finally saw use as a portrait lens again and my 17-40 really goes super wide for landscape. The menu system's "idiot proofing" can be somewhat confusing at first and I miss my 20D control stick for the focus point selection, how ever; When you have used it for a while, the handling become second nature. I don't need a "live view 42" flat screen TV" on the back of my camera as the new DSLR's have these days, draining the battery, so I am perfectly happy with the smallish one on the MK II. I use my screen for quick reviews/controls and to check the RGB histogram for exposure, the rest is done on the computer. I don't complain about size or weight and I don't see why one should when one is buying a camera one may use in a desert war -or to club down a potential mugger and take his photo afterwards. :) Seriously though; If you don't want a heavy full frame camera, go for the 5D (or the coming 5D mk II). I use my 1ds mk II with the 70-200 F2.8L, the 135 f2 L, 24-105 F4 L and the 400 5.6L and even though I get tired some times, I know that these various combos will produce pictures that will "aw" my clients. - Besides, a little work out is good for everyone in a time when people are getting more obese by the minute. I give it 4 out of 5 stars (would give 4.5 if possible), deducting some of the points for the over complicated menu-control system as well as the missing control stick for the focus points. (The 20D had it, and was released at the same time, so IMO the 1ds MK II should have had it). At the time I am writing this review, a used 1ds MK II can be had for about 50% of it's introduction price. If you are planning to step up from the 1D, 5D or the xxD/xxxD series, I would recommend this camera with no hesitation. - Prepare to spend the money, saved on buying a used camera, on glass :)
Customer Review: BATTERY LASTS FOREVER / BUFFER IS BIG / IMAGES LOOK GREAT
I traded up from a nikon d100 and its been great. a little trouble at first. a very expensive long lens i bought was out of adjustment and vinnetting. it took me a little while to figure out and i sent it back. they broke it down and re-installed the elements and its been fine ever since. news photography - aerial photography - artwork. no problems with extreme cold (15F soaked) , moisture, heat or heavy use. with a 1.4 lens its almost like night vision. stuff that i can barely see well enough to focus comes out well lit and not blurred while handheld. BTW i don't recommend a nikon.

Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM Telephoto Lens for Canon SLR Cameras

A highly practical medium telephoto lens with superb delineation and portability, the Canon EF 85mm lens produces sharp and clear images at all apertures. Through computer simulations, the lens has been designed to give beautiful background blur, thereby bringing your subject into crisp view. The ring-type ultra-sonic monitor (USM) and fast f/1.8 aperture, meanwhile, helps the subject zip into focus in the viewfinder. And because the front lens group does not rotate during focusing, special filter effects are not affected. Best of all, the standard zoom lens--with its natural angle of view and perspective--captures the subject plainly, making it excellent for portraits and images that require a natural depth of field. As with all Canon lenses, the lens carries a one-year warranty.

  • Focal length: 85mm
  • Maximum aperture: 1:1.8
  • Lens construction: 9 elements in 7 groups
  • Diagonal angle of view: 28 degrees (at 30 feet)
  • Focus adjustment: Rear focusing system with USM
  • Closest focusing distance: 2.8 feet
  • Filter size: 58mm
  • Dimensions: 3 inches in diameter, 2.8 inches long
  • Weight: 15 ounces

Customer Review: Great Lens
Wife uses this Lens for Indoor sporting events for our kids. Takes great pictures. Loves the lens.
Customer Review: Awasome ambient light portait lens
I've had this lens a little over a year and have really enjoyed it. I doesn't see a lot of action, but when it shines, it SHINES! On a crop frame body, it is really only well suited for head shots, which I consider a good thing. In my opinion, 50mm is too wide, even on a crop body, for serious portraits. With some close-up filters, it makes a decent macro lens. Most of the images taken outside have been mediocre, but under ambient artificial light inside, I've never been let down. Certainly one of the best buys out there.

Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM Standard Zoom Lens for Canon SLR Cameras

The Canon EF 24-70mm standard zoom lens does what many pros thought couldn't be done--it replaces the L-series 28-70mm f/2.8 lens with something even better. The lens offers extended coverage to an ultra-wide-angle 24mm, making it ideal for digital as well as film shooters. The new processing unit, meanwhile, makes the autofocus (AF) faster than ever. And thanks to the two aspherical elements and a totally new UD glass element, the optics are far superior to the earlier lens. Sealed and gasketed against dust and moisture, the EF 24-70mm lens carries a one-year warranty.

  • Focal length: 24-70mm
  • Maximum aperture: 1:2.8
  • Lens construction: 16 elements in 13 groups

Customer Review: image quality disappoints
The 24-70 2.8L should be a fantastic piece of glass - it is clear to me that canon has some serious quality control issues with this lens. I cannot find the sweet spot for image quality -- I sent the lens back to Canon, they "repaired" it and it came back no better than before. After I wrote their CEO, they replaced the lens under warranty. The new one is slightly sharper -- but still disappoints. Images are generally soft when viewed very critically - body is a 50D so it's not for want of pixels. Do not buy this lens without testing the one you are to purchase !!
Customer Review: Beutiful but Heavy Lens
This is now my absolute favorite lens in my entire collection. It's fast, quiet, and takes very crisp and clean shots. Together with a Hoya UV filter, I have yet to take this baby off my camera! Granted, this is also my heaviest lens in the bag, I think the pictures far outweigh (figuratively) the negatives. Obviously the biggest competitor for this lens is the Canon 24-105mm f/4.0 IS L lens. To me, I considered both before making the decision. My rationale was the fact that I need a faster lens to take indoor sports photography without a flash. You absolutely can't cut out motion-blur with a f/4.0 even with decent indoor lighting. IS will only help taking photo of friend and family that are not moving.

Customer Review: Tamron takes Nikon/Canon to the optical wood shed!
With Nikon and Canon throwing buckets of money at Pop Photo and other magazines, it's hard to get a respectable review of a third party lens! And those rabid Canon/Nikon owners, bawling about a little noise during focusing, or a slight click, or it ain't pretty enough, and no built in stabilisation, in their eyes, there isn't anything good with Tamron or other third party lenses when compared to their overpriced lenses, except for the price and optical superiority in some instances on the part of those awful Non-Canon/Nikon lens producers. True a $1,600.00 Canon lens seems unbeatable judging by the price and that pretty white Canon lens look! But I found out the real truth about the Tamron 70-200 F:2.8's side-by-side comparison to the Canon equivalent, and it made the Canon seem like a Vivitar knock-off. To quote the reviewer, the Canon 70-200 F:2.8...had "VISIBLE BARRELING AND PINCUSHIONING" compared to the Tamron 70-200 F:2.8. Later I tried to find that same review for a second look, and Canon had it pulled until another fabrication could come out making them look like the cat's pajamas once more to the camera world at large! I did have a minor aperture problem with my Tamron 70-200, but the company replaced the lens no questions asked. While taking a vacation trip along the Columbia River last Spring, I took a shot of a Tugboat and barge going up river from a mile away,I could almost read the name on the life ring outside the pilot house. The saturation and sharpness of the lens was incredible. Night shots and Portraits and 1:3 macro close-ups are almost too sharp to discribe, and all with my 6MP K100d Pentax. Yes the HSM focusing system on the Canon will outshoot this lens hands down, but if the optics can't take decent architechtural shots without making them look like a barrel or corsette, what does it matter the price? I don't rate a lens by the ambiance or the bokay, but due to my 40 years of artistic and technical knowledge of lenses in general, It took me five months to decide between the Tamron and the Sigma 70-200's build, and the reason for my decision over the Sigma, was that it took five ED glass lenses to correct for chromatics in the Sigma and only two for the Tamron, making it optically better, and this was corroborated by a lens technician of 15 years at another third party lens company who worked with his products and comparing them with all brands of lenses, and grew to understand why the need for ED glass... Why add ED glass? If the chromatics and light transference are high, less correction? See my point? Companies don't like to put ED glass into their lenses because it is expensive! It just sounds good in print, when in all actuality, it means that the Optical Design has need to be tweeked for the light to properly focus on the sensor, without chromatic fringing. So to sum up my diatribe, if you are an ardent amateur photographer or a sharp freelancer, and ain't worried about a little Buzz, click or whirr, when your lens takes a darn sharp photograph, then stick with optical performance, and not a name, look, or extreme price tag when purchasing a new lens. It took Tamron five months to fill all the Nikon/Canon orders before they could start filling the Pentax orders! Go Figure! Doesn't that say something about this F:2.8 70-200 Tamron wonder? So why did I opt for the Tamron lens? Read on! Tamron, Sigma, Tokina, Vivitar, and Soligor have been taking it to Nikon/Canon/Pentax/Olympus and Minolta for years, and if these photo giants had their way, they would like to wave a magic wand, and do away with these third party Optical upstarts...Yesterday!
Customer Review: Best 70-200 for the money and very close to the best optically period!
This lens has never failed to amaze me with it's optical quality. It has a fairly slow AF speed in low light. The build quality isn't vintage Minolta. But, for that matter, what is? It is as solid of a 70-200 that I have felt that isn't all metal (ie. Sony g or vintage Minolta). The optical qualities of this lens match, if not better, any 70-200 on the market and approach that of some of the best Minolta primes. I doubt that the bokeh is as good with this lens as a Minolta prime or G prime. But, you can't have prime bokeh with a zoom lens. That said, I have been using it with a Pro 300 DG 1.4x converter on it and this lens still shines. Put it this way, I have been posting some images of 100% crops on my flickr account lately and it is hard to distinguish these shots from other similar shots of lesser lenses of a longer focal length(500mm'ish) with no TC AND much less of a crop. Yes it is that sharp. If you doubt what I am saying you ought to check out the set of pictures I have taken with it. I am nothing more than an amateur having fun. But, this lens makes me look better than I am. http://www.flickr.com/photos/eightballrj/sets/72157612276294083/

Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM Digital SLR Lens for EOS Digital SLR Cameras

Bring small things into full-sized view with the Canon EF 60mm macro USM lens. Macro lenses can uncover detail that would be impossible to detect by the eye and give new perspective to extremely minute subjects such as insects or the petals of a small flower, and this lens is no exception. The 60mm lens offers an angle of view that's equivalent to a 96mm lens on a 35mm camera, along with a floating optical system that can focus down to life-size 1:1 magnification. The inner focusing system, meanwhile, is driven by a silent and powerful ring-type ultra-sonic monitor (USM), meaning the lens's overall length never changes during focus. Ultimately, the multi-purpose lens is equally at home shooting macro shots, portraits, or available-light photos. Like all Canon EF-S lenses, this lens is restricted to the EOS 20D, EOS Digital Rebel, and EOS Digital Rebel XT cameras.

  • Focal length: 60mm
  • Maximum aperture: 1:2.8
  • Lens construction: 12 elements in 8 groups
  • Diagonal angle of view: 25 degrees

Excellent lens that takes great close shots, Perfect for anyone looking for a standard macro lens at a great price
Customer Review: Would recommend the Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro lens
I am very pleased with the lens. Our granddaughters cheer and in the past, it has been nearly impossible to get clear shots of them at a distance (and because of the lighting in the gym). With this lens, the shots came out great. Looking for detail and clarity, then this is the lens to buy.

Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8 EX DG IF HSM APO Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon SLR Cameras

The Sigma APO 120-300mm f2.8 EX DG HSM Lens for Canon Digital SLR Cameras features a large aperture of f2.8 at the 300 millimeter focal length and is optimized for used with digital SLR cameras. This lens transforms a large-aperture f2.8 300 millimeter lens into a zoom lens that allows you to determine the picture composition you want without having to change your vantage point. It has two SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements in front group and another SLD element in the rear group for excellent correction of chromatic aberration.

The latest in multi-layer lens coating technology and lens design reduce flare and ghosting, which is a common problem with digital cameras, and it also creates an optimum color balance through the entire zoom range. The lens' AF drive is equipped with a silent, responsive and high speed Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM), which also provides full-time manual focus function. Since focusing and zooming do not change its overall length, this lens is easy to hold and use. In addition, since the front of the lens does not rotate, a circular polarizing filter can be easily attached and used. High-speed focusing is possible when this lens is used with dedicated APO EX 1.4 x or 2x tele-converters (sold separately).

Well worth the money. No disappointment at all. Looking forward to doing business with this company again.

The EOS Rebel XSis refined, ergonomic design includes a new 3.0-inch LCD monitor, compatibility with SD and SDHC memory cards and new accessories that enhance every aspect of the photographic experience. It has Canon's Image Stabilization system, allowing safe hand-holding at speeds up to three stops slower than otherwise possible. And of course, it's optically optimized for digital SLRs. A ring-type USM means both fast and silent AF, as well as full-time manual focus when in the AF mode.

Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS Telephoto Lens + Hoya UV Filter + Accessory Kit for Digital Rebel XS, XSi, XT, XTi, XSi, EOS 30D, 40D, 50D Digital SLR Cameras

Kit Includes: 1) Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS Telephoto Lens; 2) Hoya G Series 58mm UV Filter; 3) Cap Keeper 2 Lens Cap Strap; 4) Deluxe 6-Piece DSLR Camera Cleaning Kit The Canon EF-S 55-250mm IS telephoto Zoom Lens is designed with Canon's Optical Image Stabilizer technology while retaining compactness and lightness, in response to demands of photographers. This high zoom ratio lens is equivalent to a focal length of 88-400mm in the 35mm format (when used on Canon EOS cameras compatible with EF-S lenses), and the image stabilizer effect equivalent to a shutter speed about 4 stops faster than the same size lens without Image Stabilizer. In other words, if the slowest shutter speed you could formerly hold a 250mm lens steadily was 1/250th of a second, with Canon's 4-stop stabilization correction, you could hand-hold at shutter speeds as slow as 1/15th of a second. It also uses a UD-glass lens element to correct chromatic aberration for excellent image quality throughout the zoom range. The Hoya Ultraviolet UV Filter is a multi-purpose, fine-weather filter that is designed to optimize your photography experience. UV filters, absorb ultraviolet rays that often make outdoor photographs hazy and indistinct. They should be constantly fitted to a lens to provide improved clarity and color balance, as well as to provide additional protection to your lens. The CapKeeper 2 is an elastic loop, which wraps around lens barrel of your camera, with lens cap leash. It prevents lens cap loss with adhesive-backed disc attached to the cap. The CapKeeper 2 is designed for SLR cameras with interchangeable lenses and video cameras. Never lose you cap again. This 6-piece cleaning kit contains everything you'll ever need to properly clean your lenses, including a hurricane air blower, Lens Cleaning Tissue, Lens Cloth, Lens Cleaning Liquid, Brush and Cotton Swabs.
Customer Review: Outstanding Value
Great lens at a great price. This really does the job for that second utility lens. I have used this outdoors mainly on Sports and landscapes and it has been solid. Image Stabilization is a plus and quality you would expect from Canon.

For my budget I think this is the best telephoto lens with image stabilization. I took about 500 pictures so far and I'm really happy with the clarity of the pictures taken even at 250mm. I'm not sure if this is going to be a problem in future but when IS is used and the camera button is half pressed a motor noise is coming out from the lens.

Customer Review: Canon 200mm f/2.8 L lens
This lens is excellent optically. Outstanding performance when used wide open at f/2.8. It is a little on the heavy side weight wise though.
Customer Review: The perfect lens to start you with L Primes
Interestingly, the price has crept up a bit on this lens in the last few months. It's value must be becoming more apparent to more folks. Nice to have bought before it went up instead of vice versa. Nevertheless, this is the most reasonably priced of the Canon L Primes & is a perfect one to start out with, if you don't own any yet. This lens is tack sharp, has very true, very vibrant color and high contrast. In all these areas, it is probably just shy of the 135mm, 85mm and 50mm lenses, but this is a discerning eye speaking, and these are subtle (although modestly notable differences). The difference between this and an ordinary Canon lens will be much greater. As a side note - if you already own either or both the teleconverters (1.4x and 2x), they work very well with this lens. It maintains AF with both, due to it's speed. And this is a small light lens, considering the focal length. With a 2x it becomes a 400mm f/5.6, yet it is much lighter, narrower, and more portable than any comparable variation (the 100-400mm L, or any of the 400mm L primes, of which there are two, plus a non-L DO prime that looks like an L, and might fool you). If you intend to shoot all the way out at 400mm mostly, this is probably the cheapest method, and the quality loss is less with the 2x on this lens than with many/most others. Whatever your choice, this is probably the most reasonable L value on the market and is a very smart buy if you wish to see what all the fuss is about. And Yes, the fuss is warranted. L's are that good.

Customer Review: It's phenomenal - except I didn't like the factory settings
The first two weekends with this camera (I'm on my 5th weekend now) yielded garbage photos and I needed help from the 1D3 forum people at DPReview. Look up "1D3 can't focus on a bug's nose" for the discussion. I was shooting bugs and couldn't get clear sharp pictures. My other camera is a 5D which shot great closeups of bugs with my EF 300 F/2.8 and EF 500 F/4 (but with a very high focus failure rate). It was finally decided that I needed to locate the custom function to turn off the assist points on the center focus sensor. That made all the difference. Also, even before that, just plain old normal pictures produced truly awful jpegs. When I reset jpeg compression to level 10 (instead of 8) that improved picture quality a great deal. Finally, I suspected level 4 sharpening (Landscape picture style) was not very sharp, so I shot a church bell tower from about 650 yards away using my 500mm and my 5D and this 1D3. Results: the 5D landscape style (factory settings) out-shot the 1D3 landscape style (factory settings), but my custom settings of 5 for sharpening, +1 for contrast, beat the 5D and yielded an incredible picture with detail that the 5D had only hinted at, and the 1D3 Landscape setting didn't reveal at all. Amazing what a difference a small adjustment can make. Now it is a fabulous camera and takes fabulous jpegs. Focus is very fast, much faster than the 5D, and much more accurate. Which is all I was hoping for. I now have a much higher percentage of well focused, beautifully detailed images that don't need any raw processing to make them look good (and I now delete plenty of pictures for composition reasons alone). If you shoot jpegs and hate messing with raw files, and you have a 5D or other high end camera that takes great shots, better do a comparison and set up the 1D3 accordingly. Then you'll have a very remarkable camera in the 1D3. A final note, if you want sharp pictures of bugs that don't stay put, or birds in flight, I recommend using the f/2.8 lenses over the f/4 because the auto focus sensors need it (I shoot most of my pictures in bright sunlight at f/7.1, but it's the auto focus that needs the extra light from an f/2.8 lens, not the depth of field that needs a big aperture). I haven't tried live view (I'm always outside and really don't care about live view anyway).
Customer Review: Essential tool for a professional photographer.
Purchased the Mark III in September 2007. Over one year later this camera still continues to amaze me! The controls are laid out perfectly and the camera feels like it's just the right size in my hands. Others have complained about the price, but believe me, you get what you pay for!! I purchased this camera to take professional portraits, weddings special events. This camera was an upgrade from the Canon 20d and 30d cameras I previously owned. Some of my favorite features are the auto - ISO feature. This mode allows you to set the camera in shutter or aperture priority, and if the camera cannot compensate for the exposure, it automatically increases the ISO. Great feature that allows the photographer more creative control of the picture while getting that perfect shot every time. Another nice feature is the live view shooting. This mode allows you to take long pictures, or pictures in awkward angles without requirig you to look into the viewfinder. You still have to manually focus. Another feature I like is the ability for the camera to record on multiple media targets. You can set the camera up to record raw on one card and jpeg on another. Or, you can set the camera up to jump to the other card when one is full. This is very convenient for me since I shoot in RAW. Another feature is the limits, configuration, and file handling settings. You can set the minimum and maximum ISO, shutter, aperture settings, fast shutter speed, slow shutter speed, and the camera will compensate within your set parameters and deliver results. One last feature worth noting is the microadjustment. This camera allows you to micro adjust for each of your lenses. This is especially useful if you have a front focusing lens that appears to be just a little off. You can adjust the camera so when you attach that lens, the camera automatically adjusts for that particular lens. Sure, this camera costs a few dollars more, but the payback in the pictures is nothing short of amazing.. This is a TRUE professional camera and as such requires the photographer to have a significant knowledge of photography. The battery life is phenomenal! Not only does the camera provide you with a battery meter, it has a menu setting that actually tells you what percentage of battery life you have left and the number of shutter actuations since the last charge. I routinely manage over 2000 (and once over 3000) actuations on a single charge. This is something that NO other digital camera can do! Significant upgrade over the 1dMarkII series cameras where the battery was larger, heavier, and lasted for at most 700 actuations. I thought of purchasing a backup battery, but haven't brought myself to do so because of the longevity of this battery. This camera has been a very important compliment to my existing L series lenses. Overall, I would recommend this camera for the professional photographer that is SERIOUS about the business of photography and needs proven professional equipment to deliver results to the customer. I have been considering purchasing a second Mark III as a backup to the one I own. My 5d is currently my backup camera (great, but not at the same level as the EOS-1 series). Customer Review: great lens....flawed user.
i have never done macro before and started photography a month back....i was on my 50mm/1.8 350d... so...i wanted to try macro and bought this lens based on he awesome reviews. heres my thuts: 1) sharp. tho ppl say its so sharp, i expected more than any lens cud prolly do... 2) u need a tripod...or a lot of light...the f/2.8 is only at infinity (i didn't know this before reading the manual tho i shud have known) 3) because the focus is literally a millimeter or so at 1:1, my 350d's veiwfinder isn't large enough for me to nail the focus...my pics always came out focusing slightly off the mark(and when i mean real slightly but noticeable without zoom). of course, its my inexperience. 4) beginners advice : this lens is not like a 50mm lens in ease of use so if u dont have patience and dont want to learn to work around this (awesome) lens, u shud try the 60mm or 50mm...cuz they are ligther and prolly dont shake so much and there more stable/easier to use...not sure here tho.. all in all, i love this lens but it sure requires technique/patience...to get it dead right and explore its full potential i.e.
Customer Review: A nice buy
This is a good lens for portraits as well as macros. I managed to get mine fairly cheaply in the circuit city closeout(for about $320). It gives a good working space which I've liked the most of all my lenses- neither too close nor too far. Also, be aware that this is not a wide angle lens, so if your preference is landscaping or that sort, then this is not for you. The only issue I have found is that the lens is heavy. My forearms had some strain the first day I used it, but now I'm used to it. Overall, it is an excellent buy if you are interested in Macros. The quality of the glass is top notch. Remember to check out circuit city to see if they have it in stock..Its a great deal there right now!

Customer Review: High Range of Functions, Great Cost
As a complete newcomer to the DSLR world, I wasn't sure which camera to purchase to explore the world of photography. I thought about the XSi...the features sounded impressive, especially the Megapixels. But a friend of mine said that after about 5MP, the numbers don't really matter unless you're planning on printing poster-size photos (which few of us would actually do). The 8MP images of this camera are gorgeous and crystal clear--you'd never miss having a 12MP camera. All it would do is make the file sizes HUGE, and you'll have to get an external hard drive to save your photos. (Number of MPs is really ploy to get consumers to buy a more expensive model) The features on this unit are vast enough for an advanced photographer but has enough automatic features on it that it will ease you into the world of photography. I highly recommend this camera!
Customer Review: Best DSLR I have ever used
I would have rated it 6 out of 5, but they didnt give me any option to do that. Absolutely amazing DSLR. Its good for all: - Beginners who have never even used a DSLR before. - Professionals who love to shoot the mother nature. - Mums/Dads who want to capture the best moments of their parenthood. Infact I bought it when my son was born to make sure I capture his early years using the best available camera, and did it paid off or wat..??.. The only minus point that I can think of right now is that "like any other DSLR/SLR" its bulky..so you would have to get used to the fact that you cant carry it like any point2shoot camera in your pocket.. you would need proper bag for carrying this. - Great battery Life - Amazing Clarity - Great speed - Great Flash for night mode - Good lense - Great photography otions/modes. Great product!!

Canon EF 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye Lens for Canon SLR Cameras

Love the fisheye effect? Turn to the Canon EF 15mm fisheye lens, which offers an ultra-wide 180-degree angle of view for capturing scenes well beyond your natural field of vision. As with all fisheye lenses, the 15mm provides a ton of unique and interesting effects, with a minimum focusing distance of 8 inches giving new meaning to close-up shots. Best of all, the lens is tack-sharp throughout its entire focus range. The lens--which includes a fixed petal-type hood and a built-in rear filter holder that holds up to three gel filters at once--carries a one-year warranty.

  • Focal length: 15mm fisheye
  • Maximum aperture: f/2.8
  • Lens construction: 8 elements in 7 groups
  • Diagonal angle of view: 180 degrees
  • Focus adjustment: Overall linear extension system with AFD
  • Closest focusing distance: 0.7 feet
  • Filter size: Rear gel holder (accepts up to 3 precut gel filters)
  • Dimensions: 2.9 inches in diameter, 2.4 inches long
  • Weight: 11.6 ounces

Amazon Price: $610.00
Used Price: $530.00
Customer Review: Great lens for reasonable price
This lens performs at top quality levels in terms of contrast, resolution, and color rendition. It is a full-frame fisheye design, i.e., on a 24x36mm sensor (or film) the diagonal angle of view is 180 degrees, and the full frame area is covered (not a "circular fisheye"). Autofocus is a bit "buzzy" - it's not an ultrasonic motor type - but quick and accurate. For landscape work this wouldn't be an issue anyway, but good AF is very useful when making use of the possibilities for extreme close perspective portraits of animals, etc. The build quality is not quite like the Canon L series lenses, but is generally solid and confidence inspiring. The lens cap is important, since the convex front element is protected only by the petal shaped built-in hood, and a front filter cannot be used. I consider this lens well worth its price, and if you understand the optical workings of a fisheye (tangential straight lines become curved as part of the design) you will not be disappointed.
Customer Review: Adds some drama
I am a wedding and portrait photographer. I use the lens for these situations and love it. 1. To add some interest to dancefloor shots. I just hold the camera above the crowd and shoot down. The shots are playful and energetic. 2. To make a small, boring church look huge. Just shoot inside and watch out to keep your toes out of the shot. and for fun 3. To shoot kids and pets with big, cartoony heads. It's a great lens and fun to use.
